Blloku has a strange history. It used to be the closed quarter where the communist leadership lived, off-limits to ordinary Albanians. Now it is full of bars and people, and it is the best place in Tirana to go out. This crawl takes you through it with a local guide who knows which places are good on the night.
How does it work? You meet in the evening at Skanderbeg Square, then walk to four or five bars as a small group. There is a free welcome shot at each stop, and skip-the-line entry at a couple of the busier venues, so you spend the night drinking and meeting people instead of queuing.
Who is it for? Travellers who want a social night out and an easy way to meet people in a new city. You should be 18 or over. It is one of the most fun things to do in Tirana after dark, especially on a first night when you do not know the city yet.
