This is a private group tour, built for friends, couples travelling together and young travellers who want the social side of Albania. You travel in a private Sprinter with your own driver and meet local guides along the way, so the logistics are handled and the group stays together. The price is per person and drops as your group grows, so the bigger the crew the better the deal. Booking is instant and any start date from May to October is open. Rooms are shared, and the whole trip can be customized.
This trip is paced like a good weekend stretched over eight days: big experiences, beach time, and nights out, with just enough culture to give it depth. It opens in Tirana with the optional Petrelë zipline, a farm-to-table lunch inside The Base, a former communist military barracks turned agrotourism, and a sunset city tour that rolls into a night in Blloku, the capital’s bar and music quarter. The first day sets the tone: active, social, and a little unfiltered.
From the capital the route heads south. You can ride an ATV along the cliffs of the Cape of Rodon before reaching Gjirokastër, the UNESCO stone city, for a sunset tour and a seven-raki tasting paired with meze in the old bazaar. The next morning is pure southern Albania, the turquoise Blue Eye spring followed by optional rafting on the Bistricë River, then down to Saranda on the Ionian coast.
The middle of the trip belongs to the sea. A pirate-style boat day runs out of Saranda to a string of hidden bays, Cape Qefal, Kakome, Krorez and Roidhes, for swimming and sun off the deck. Then the Riviera proper: a coastal drive past Porto Palermo castle, Himara, the old village of Qeparo and the cliffs of Dhërmi, with swim stops, before settling into Jalë, the Riviera’s party beach, for beach clubs, DJs and the kind of nights this coast is known for.
The last stretch winds back north over the Llogara Pass, where the mountains drop straight to the sea and deer roam the pines, to Vlora for a city tour and a final seaside night. On the way to the airport you can stop at the island monastery of Zvernec or the ancient ruins of Apollonia. Throughout, you travel private and together, with a driver, local guides and the social experiences that make this route more than a checklist.
