I didn’t know much about Raki other than it being strong, but this evening changed everything. Our host, Andi was incredible, he shared stories about distilling process that you won’t find in any guidebook. The 15-minute walk from the Opera House to the Pyramid was a great way to see the city lights. The pairing of the Mulberry Raki with the aged goat cheese was a revelation! 100% recommended.

We felt like we were visiting old friends rather than being on a tour. The venue was so ‘cozy’ and decorated with beautiful Albanian heritage items. Each Raki was served with a specific meze that complemented its notes perfectly, the homemade byrek was still warm and tasted exactly like my grandmother’s cooking. It was both educational and fun. A highlight of our trip to Tirana!

Really lovely experience! The guided walk at the start was a bit fast because we wanted to take more photos at Skanderbeg Square, but once we arrived at the venue, everything was perfect. The mezes were fresh, especially the grilled vegetables and the local cheese. I would have loved a small printed card with the names of the Raki we tasted to take home, but otherwise, a fantastic night out!

The venue was stunning and the atmosphere was very authentic. The mezes were so good I almost asked for a second plate of the regional cheeses! Andi did a great job explaining the production methods of raki. It’s a refreshing change from the typical bars in the Blloku area.

Everything was well-organized. Meeting behind the Opera House was very easy. The highlight for me was the Plum Raki paired with the salty olives. It was great to sit down for the final reflections and just chat with other travelers from around the world. It’s a perfect blend of history, culture and high-quality spirits. A ‘must-do’ if you want to understand the spirit of Albania!

If you want to avoid the tourist traps and see how Albanians actually socialize, book this. The transition from the walk to the tasting was seamless. The host explained the ‘double distillation’ process in a way that was easy to understand even for beginners. My favorite was the Grape Raki (Raki Rrushi) paired with the pickled green tomatoes, a combination I never expected to love so much! A truly authentic atmosphere.

The Raki quality is top-notch. Each glass had a distinct aroma. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is that I wish the ‘Final Reflections’ part lasted longer because the conversation with the other guests was so interesting! Make sure to eat the grilled peppers in heavy cream (fergesë) that they serve. Great value for money.
