After this, take a tasty detour to Rruga e Kavajes for a mid-morning snack of peskavica, a delicious Albanian cheese-stuffed meatball patty.

10:05 AM - 10:15 AM- Byrek Stop at our favorite byrek spot

  •  Start the journey with a traditional Albanian breakfast by enjoying freshly baked byrek and some dhalle. Like a true Albanian.
  • Choose from delicious fillings like cheese, spinach, or meat.

 

10:25 AM - 11:00 AM - Sheshi Skenderbej Highlights

A guided introduction to the cultural and historical importance of Sheshi Skenderbej, the heart of Tirana.

Key landmarks include:

  • Et'hem Bey Mosque
  • Clock Tower (Sahat Kulla)
  • National History Museum

 

11:05 AM - 11:15 AM - Kavaja Street Food Experience

Head to Rruga e Kavajes and savor a mid-morning snack:

  1. Buke me qofte (bread with grilled meatballs) or a peskavica ( Albanian cheese stuffed meatball patty ), depending on preference. We suggest nr 2.

 

11:25 AM - 12:00 PM  - Banka e Shqiperise and Orthodox Cathedral

  • Stroll past the iconic Bank of Albania and visit the nearby Orthodox Church of the Resurrection, a stunning architectural and cultural landmark.

 

12:05 AM - 12:50 PM  - Bunk'Art and Pedonalja

  • Walk along the pedestrian street Pedonalja to reach Bunk’Art 2, an underground bunker-turned-museum. (Optional visit to the museum.)
  • Enjoy some free time to explore the lively street.
  • Grab the days food at the local spot. Depending on the day this menu item may change so it is a bit of a surprise.

13:00 PM - 13:20 PM - Parliament and Pispili

  • Stop by the Parliament of Albania. Across the street taste pispili , a traditional Albanian food.
